Alerts

Turn on any combination of candle closes and fixed clock times such as 9:30 or 3:10. Each one gets its own sound so you can tell them apart by ear, and its own lead time if you want the beep a few seconds early.

Times above are read in this zone. Change it to trade a market abroad — the countdown stays in your local clock.

Advanced

Indian brokers anchor intraday candles to the 9:15 open. Most western platforms align to the clock. Pick whatever your chart does.

At 9:30 a 5m and a 15m candle close together. "Highest only" keeps it clean — both are still written to the log.

Comma or newline separated YYYY-MM-DD. No alerts on these dates.

Runs entirely in your browser. No account needed — your settings stay on this device.

Not a trading signal service. Always confirm candle closes on your broker's chart.

Getting reliable beeps

Two kinds of alert

Candle close repeats every N seconds, minutes or hours through the session. Clock time fires once a day at a time you set — 9:30, 3:10, whatever you need. Both get their own sound, lead time and screen flash.

A clock alert runs on your trading days only, and skips holidays. It does not have to fall inside market hours, so a 9:00 pre-open reminder works.

Candle alignment

With a 9:15 open, "anchor to market open" gives 15m closes at 9:30, 9:45… and 1h closes at 10:15, 11:15… — matching Indian brokers. "Anchor to the clock" gives 10:00, 11:00… Match whichever your chart uses.

Keeping the screen awake

If the screen locks, the phone suspends the timer and you miss alerts. Do the first step; the rest are backups.

1. Use the built-in switch (easiest)

Open Advanced → Keep screen awake and turn it on. While alerts are armed, TradeBell asks the browser to hold the screen on. Works on Chrome for Android, Edge, and Safari 16.4+ on iOS.

2. Raise your phone's screen timeout

Android: Settings → Display → Screen timeout → 10 minutes (or the longest available).

iPhone: Settings → Display & Brightness → Auto-LockNever.

Set it back afterwards — leaving it on Never drains the battery.

3. Keep the app in front

Leave TradeBell as the visible app. Switching to another app usually keeps it running for a while, but the phone can evict it under memory pressure — and swiping it away always stops alerts completely.

4. Check your ringer

On iPhone, web audio follows the physical silent switch. Take the phone off silent and turn the media volume up.

Also worth doing

Plug in while you trade — some phones ignore wake-lock requests in battery-saver mode.
