About TradeBell
A candle close alarm, built because I kept missing candle closes while staring at the chart.
Why this exists
I day trade, mostly on Indian markets. Several of my setups only make sense at the close of a candle — sometimes a 1 minute candle, sometimes 3, 5, 15, 30 minutes or the hour.
Watching the clock for that moment is a genuinely bad use of attention. Look away and you miss the close; watch the clock and you stop watching the chart. Every alarm app I tried counted down from now rather than from the market's opening bell, so the beeps drifted away from where my candles actually closed.
TradeBell does the one thing I wanted: it beeps exactly when a candle closes, anchored to the opening bell, and then it gets out of the way.
What it does differently
- Anchored to the open, not to the clock. With a 09:15 open, hourly candles close at 10:15, 11:15 and so on — the way Indian brokers draw them. If your chart aligns to the clock instead, one setting switches it.
- A different sound per timeframe, so you know which candle just closed without looking.
- Alerts a few seconds early, per timeframe, if you want a moment to get ready.
- Correct in any timezone, including daylight-saving changes, midday breaks and overnight sessions.
- No account, and no server holding your settings. Everything you configure stays in your own browser.
Free, and staying that way
TradeBell is free to use. There are no ads, no subscriptions and no upsells. I use Google Analytics to see whether anyone is actually using it — that is the only thing measured, your settings are never sent anywhere, and the privacy policy spells out exactly what it collects and how to switch it off. It was built to solve my own problem, and it costs almost nothing to keep online.

Candle close alerts are the first piece. Expiry day alerts for indexes and commodities are planned next, along with other timing tools traders keep asking the clock for.
